A letter to your legacy

Dear President Marcos,      I hope this letter finds you in good health. Think of me as a voice from the future. From my understanding, your presidency and leadership continues to be a subject of discussion, and analysis.      Your 21 years of presidency was marked by significant achievements as well as controversies. Your administration saw the implementation of ambitious infrastructure projects, economic reforms, and policies aimed at nation-building. The creation of the Integrated Reorganization Plan and the establishment of the New Society are just a couple of examples that come to mind. https://www.politico.com/news/2022/05/10/ferdinand-marcos-philippines-presidency-00031292      However, it is essential to acknowledge the complex nature of history. Your regime was also characterized by an authoritarian rule, allegations of human rights violations, and widespread corruption. These elements have left a profound and las...

What is a "Eusofh"?

What is a "Eusofh"? My name represents who I am as a person. I am unique. I could pass off as any other person, in a world of 4 billion people. But I believe I am unique in the way that I will succeed at any task big or small. The only problem I have is being introverted, to the point where I am like a ghost. This is because I barely get noticed as a result of my silence. Because of this, it is sometimes perceived that I am ignorant or not participating.      So, what is a "Eusofh"? Even if I look and act like lazy and incompetent person, I'm not. I always make sure to do all of my responsibilities. I am a young ambitious high school student of the special science program. I strive to do my best and always follow my moral compass. I always do what I think is right and I always work on something until I finish it.      So, once again, what is a "Eusofh"? E stands for excellence as I always strive to become. U stands for understanding as I...

"Lighters, Making Fires That Guide": Teachers Day Celebration

From a young age we could be described as a candle. Our parents will be the first to light us, symbolizing them showing us the world. From then on they take care of us and the light that burns bright within us. But after a certain age, the lighting of our wick(our brain) is a job that then gets passed on to our teachers.      Teachers are the ones who teach us the remaining gaps in our knowledge. They take care of us while we are in their classroom. They have the utmost patience to teach us when we were young. They help us understand the world and most of all, they can act as our second parents.  It is difficult to be a teacher nowadays. As students, they have to understand our daily struggles. They also have to be caring towards us. We might expect them to have a good profession because  they not only are responsible for educating the future of our country, but they also helps the current generation as there are now special programs for adults, bu...
